“Will you just leave me alone!” You slam the door in your little brother’s face. Taking deep breaths, you close your eyes and try to calm down. But you just can’t when you open your eyes and see the destruction he’s caused. You hear your brother start to cry and run downstairs to mommy. Ugh, what an annoying little twerp. Your whole room is trashed… and I mean everything. Purple paint is splattered on your walls, your books are all torn in half with pages scattering the floor, and most of all, your drumsticks are broken in half and tossed on the floor! He touched your precious drumsticks! You can’t contain your rage as you scream into your pillow, letting it all out. You don’t know how long it’s been, but later your mom walks in and says through her tears, “Honey, your brother has cancer.” Suddenly, the world spins…

The Boy Who Loved Bach or Gracie and The Preacher E-Book Giveaway!

Hi everyone! Do you remember how I mentioned in my Interviews With Authors: A Talk With T.L. Peters that there would be a giveaway soon? Well, here it is! T.L. Peters was so kind to provide an e-book copy of either The Boy Who Loved Bach or Gracie and The Preacher to one lucky winner! Thank you so much T.L. Peters!

The Boy Who Loved Bach is a fun, coming-of-age story that I think most can relate to.  Edward is going into high school and he’s having a hard time balancing everything on his plate.  He’s going to have to give and take to make it work, all the while figuring out what means the most to him.  Join Edward on his roller coaster of a ride navigating the new waters of high school!  You can find my full review of The Boy Who Loved Bach here.
Gracie and The Preacher is a touching story of a boy and his dog. Brent Everett and his feisty dog Gracie hook up with a good-natured street preacher who, when he isn't dodging the law, makes his living by holding fire and brimstone revivals across the country. Soon, however, Brent learns that there are some things that even the preacher can't get away with.  If you're interested in reading a sample of Gracie and The Preacher you can reach it here on T.L. Peters' blog.  Just make sure to scroll to the bottom!

One winner will receive an e-book copy of either The Boy Who Loved Bach or Gracie and The Preacher, thanks to T.L. Peters!

4 out of 5 stars

Electric bolts shoot out of your hands and everything around you is lit up by a stark, bright white light. You squint as you try to understand what is going on. Shouldn’t it be burning hot? Shouldn’t you not even be alive right now? How is any of this possible? You can’t help but revel in the exhilarating feeling you’re experiencing. Suddenly, it all stops. The electricity, the light… everything. You slump to the ground, completely drained, barely able to keep your head up. The one thought going through your mind is, what was that?
